About Us
Our goal is to encourage more venues and spaces to cater to diverse visitors and practice inclusivity or applying the concept of universal design towards the community
The story that formed IncluCity
In 2018, WE&I ArtFest was held to celebrate the diverse talents from our PWD (Persons With Disabilities) community.
Hosted by art collective, WE&I Art, the ArtFest was organised on a yearly basis to celebrate inclusivity and as a place for them to catch up with friends and showcase their talents. However, this annual event was halted due to the pandemic in 2020.
Due to the lockdown, NakSeni was created .
NakSeni is derived from the words "Anak Seni”, Malay words which translates to “Children of Art”. The word "Nak" here also means and implies the "need" or "want" of art. We celebrate the child-like wonder and imagination that artists have, regardless of their age.
Building a community to elevate PWD status and spread positive influence.
Through conducting workshops and programmes that cater to the PWD community, it became a challenge to find accessible venues that were able to cater to various disabilities.
From this experience, the idea of IncluCity was sparked.
